My name is Leah. I'm a wife, and I'm a mother to five kids I get to raise through foster care and adoption. I'm a successful software executive with 15 years of enterprise closing expertise. Some days that alone would be enough to carry. Then MG showed up too.

It started with a simple optional CT calcium test to check my heart when an anterior mediastinal mass was found. This turned out to be a Thymoma in which I was referred to a thoracic surgeon. I quickly researched the best thymoma care in my area. What was supposed to be a straightforward robotic surgery escalated into a MG crisis. The AChR positive blood test referred me to a neurologist for a baseline as my levels were 400x normal. Although I had no symptoms, being established as a patient changed my trajectory. Less than 3 weeks later I was hospitalized in a full MG crisis.

Here's what I couldn't have told you back then, but I believe with everything in me now. I believe God is going to use me, and He's going to use this diagnosis, for a purpose bigger than I could see in the middle of it. I didn't choose MG. I didn't choose for my body to turn on itself in a way most people have never even heard of. But I've chosen what I do with it, and that's this. willuMGwithme exists because I refuse to let this disease be something that only happens to me quietly. It's going to be something God uses through me, out loud, for the people who need to hear it.
